[00:00:03] Hi I’m Sarah Fish a snowsports instructor of 10 years. We’re here today at the Snow Centre at Hemel Hempstead. I’m going to just take you through how to attach your snowboard to your foot for the first time.
Attaching Your Snowboard
Lay the board flat on the floor. And then you’re going to want to get the straps out the way. I like to get the ankle strap if possible and just pull it behind the highback so it’s completely free for your foot to go in.
So get yourself ready by getting your arms out because we’re going to stand on one foot. So you want to bend your knees a little bit so you’ve got a little bit of balance and you’re going to bang the snow off the bottom of your boot before putting it in.
So I’m going to put my heel as far back as I can. And I’m going to start with my ankle strap. So I’m just going to wrap that around the front. And I’m going to find my little ladder. Pop it in the clip and then ratchet it shut.
So that the toe strap’s the same, we’re going to pop it over the front. And just ratchet it shut.
[00:01:06] And stand yourself up.
