There's a nursery area around the Plan da Tieja drag lift (16) and the Monte Pana chairlift (15). The ski school is based in Selva, with nursery slopes below the Dantercëpies gondola. Plan de Gralba has some gentle blues, perfect for progressing.
Off the top of the Dantercëpies gondola, there are some long, undulating reds back to Selva. And the 10.5km La Longia red run, from the top of Seceda down to Ortisei, is the longest in the Dolomites. There's also a good network of blues and reds around Plan de Gralba, where the conditions are usually very good.
Head for the long reds from Dantercrëpies to keep you busy, or the Val Gardena World Cup piste, the Saslong, for a challenge. It’s open to the public most of the time and kept in excellent condition.
Head to Selva fo good links to the Marmolada Glacier, with its fantastic intermediate and expert runs, some starting at an incredible height of 3,200m above sea level. There are also great off-pisting opportunities and an ideal heli-skiing destination. The glacier is the only one in the Dolomites section of the Alps and part of the highest mountain in the region.
Explore new areas including Cortina, home to the 1956 Winter Olympics. Explore this otherwise difficult to reach area and test your skills on the still-preserved Olympic runs, before heading to the Lagazuoi Hidden Valley for a 7km red run through a winter wilderness, passing stunning frozen waterfalls and unique scenery, before finally getting pulled to the end of the valled by a unique horse-tow.
