The popular ski resort of Tignes offers some of the best skiing in Europe and boasts some excellent off piste and board parks too. Tignes can also lay claim to having an excellent Fresh Tracks program. Every Wednesday you can be first up the mountain on the funicular and enjoy the freshly mown snow for a very reasonable €15. Being one of the first to make tracks in this popular French resort will be an exciting experience that you wont forget in a hurry.
Enjoy a hearty cup of tea or coffee in the cable car as you head up the mountain to make sure you are first down the mountain. The First tracks or ‘prima traccia’ experience in Cervinia will make sure you have the perfect start to the day by being one of just 60 skiers to be first on the slopes. Tickets can be purchased for €10 at the central ticket office locally and fresh tracks takes place every Thursday.
With everything from beginner slopes to mogul fields and impressive off-piste opportunities, Verbier is a brilliant skiing destination. The first track offering in Verbier includes coffee and croissant at the lovely Chalet Carlsberg and costs CHF 25. Meet at 07.45 at Medran lift and you can enjoy two runs from Les Attelas to les Ruinettes. In this case you will need to be with a ski instructor and minimum of 4 people.
Park City, USA

The American resort of Park City, Utah is renowned for its heavy snowfalls and its excellent après-ski whilst being conveniently located just 40 minutes from Salt Lake City. Head to the Canyons resort for the best experience where a $79 ticket will get you some early skiing and a great breakfast at the Red Pine Lodge – where you will definitely be keen to refuel. First tracks is available on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

This is the perfect resort for those skiers who want that something extra – whether that is a host of snow activities or brilliant nightlife. There is also a fantastic Fresh Tracks Breakfast Mountain experience on offer for just $17.95 per adult. Meet at the Whistler Village Gondola at 7am to head up the mountain to the Roundhouse Lodge for a delicious breakfast before being some of the first on the slopes. A perfect morning.
