Steaming hot chocolates, snowball fights and ski school stories … everyone remembers their first family ski holiday. We sent the Wing family to Passo Tonale for first ski lessons, fresh snowfall and family time on the mountain. Here are their best shots.

Grand Hotel Paradiso

- Crystal Childcare onsite
- Virtually ski-in, ski-out
- Trampolines, soft play and games
- Swimming pool and wellness centre
The Wings stayed in the Grand Hotel Paradiso in the beginner and intermediate resort of Passo Tonale in Italy. It’s an easy pick for families, with lots going on and plenty of room types in different shapes and sizes. The hotel’s location is just right if you’re all learning to ski together, because you can step straight out onto gentle slopes, with the ski school a short, flat walk away. Our own Pepi Penguin Nursery and Beanie Bear Club are based in the hotel too, so there’s no need to walk around with little skis in the mornings.
