For beginners, there are nursery slopes in resort to start you off (right opposite our apartments, so you don't have to go far to get home) and there are a nice variety of green and blue runs on the Arselle plateau to help you build your confidence. 'Les Cretes' blue run offers spectacular views as it winds its way on to the 'Les Coqs' blue run that descends through the trees
There are plenty of red runs to keep intermediates entertained including 'Arolles' which will take you past the frozen lake du Vallons and the 'Olympics dames' run to give you a taste of the 1968 Olympics. There are some good long red runs starting above the tree line offering spectacular views across the Grenoble valley and finishing with some fantastic tree lined skiing.
For the more adventurous, the '1968 Olympic' black run, with its 805 metres of vertical drop, and the 'Couloir de Casserousse', are both runs not to be missed out on. There is also a variety of off piste opportunities available, including the Recoin and Roche Béranger areas with their tree lined off-piste descents back to the resorts. There is also Sunset Park - a snow park with large kickers and equipment to enhance your freestyle skills
The Couloirs des Croissants area, in Chamrousse, is the ideal location for some off-piste dabbling. From the summit, head right for a huge bowl and lots of slopes down to the Lac Achard. The Couloir de Casserousse, however, offers a steep and exciting alternative. There are also numerous tree descents in the Recoin and Roche Beranger sector - a real leg workout.
