Espace Killy skiing

What's it like?

The Espace Killy area, now also known as Tignes-Val d'Isère, has an incredible 300km of piste and links the iconic resorts Val d'Isère and Tignes.

Here you'll find high altitude skiing, two glaciers and 158 ski runs of varying difficulty – plus plenty of après and accommodation options. Whatever ability you are, the Espace Killy has plenty on offer for everyone.

Val d'Isère

Val d'Isère is a traditional alpine village with an array of boutique hotels, 5-star properties, beautiful chalets and luxury apartments. Unsurprisingly, there's plenty of trendy restaurants and bars and a whole host of designer shops. This is only one side of Val though – there are also some great value apartments and impressive nightlife.

Some of the highlights include high altitude skiing on the glacier, with tranquil areas giving the beginners the chance to ski higher up the mountain on a selection of gentle runs. For the experienced skiers there's the Olympic black piste that runs all the way down to the centre of Val d'Isère.

Tignes is a purpose-built resort designed with the skier in mind. Much of the accommodation is right on the piste and the whole village is very much thought out around skiing and boarding. You'll find chalets, apartments and large hotels ranging in style and star rating to cater for just about everybody's needs. Tignes is seen as a fun loving resort with a fantastic party atmosphere and a huge choice of activities on offer.

The skiing and boarding in Tignes really does offer something for everyone. Known for being the freestyle hub of the Alps there are two impressive snow parks to choose from. You'll also find plenty of areas for the beginners and intermediates to learn and improve.

With all the various national tourist boards applying widely varying criteria to hotel ratings, the whole question of international hotel grades has become confused. We have therefore applied our own 'rating', representing the general standards of that country in order that fairer comparisons can be made.

Please note: rating may differ from the official star rating of the local tourist board. Our classifications take into account not only the basic facilities, but also the location, leisure facilities, general character and atmosphere of the hotel, as well as customer feedback. Chalet ratings give comparisons with other chalets but do not provide like for like comparisons with the ratings of full service hotels.

Your package price and availability

Our website's prices and flight, accommodation and room availability are updated every morning. To calculate average price per person, applicable discounts are subtracted from your total cost, which is then divided by the number of adults and children (excluding infants). A full price breakdown can be viewed on the payment page.

In some circumstances, prices and availability may update during the day so you may find price/availability differences later in the booking process.

This is usually due to high demand for the selected holiday. Should you have any issues with this, please contact us or see here for more information.
