What’s it like?
With 625km of piste all on one pass, the Zillertal Superski area is simply massive.
The Ziller Valley stretches from the high altitude of the Hintertux Glacier to the large network of pistes at Hochzillertal/Hochfügen. All areas are linked by public transport – either ski buses or the valley's train line. Choose between staying in either Mayrhofen or Finkenberg – both great for beginner and intermediate skiers.
Mayrhofen has long earned its place as one of the world's top ski and snowboard resorts, with two main areas – Ahorn and Penken. Between the entrance of the valley and the Hintertux Glacier you'll find a further four ski areas with loads of different terrain to explore. There's a lively nightlife and an attractive resort centre – it really does have everything you'll need for a fantastic ski holiday. Renowned for both the Altitude and Snowbombing festivals, there's plenty to enjoy all season long, on and off the slopes.
A quieter alternative to Mayrhofen, Finkenberg is more popular with families and those more interested in the fantastic skiing than the lively nightlife. It's got an idyllic setting and has convenient access up to the heart of the Penken as well as good links to the whole Zillertal area.
