Arlberg

What’s it like?
With a reputation as the cradle of alpine skiing and with 276km of piste, Arlberg joins together the resorts of St Anton, St Christoph, Lech, Zürs, Zug, Stuben and Sonnenkopf.
Arlberg attracts skiers from all over the world to tackle its challenging runs, limitless off piste and lively après scene – which includes the world famous bars Mooserwirt and Krazy Kanguruh. Just over an hour from Innsbruck airport, the area is made up of seven resorts that are all accessible on an area lift pass, with the longest run of 8.5km leading from Valluga via the Ulmer hut to St. Anton. The introduction of the Auenfeldjet, a new cable-car, gives access from Lech-Zürs to the resorts of Warth-Schröcken too – adding another 64km of piste to the Arlberg ski area.
St Anton
St Anton is the largest ski area within the Arlberg region, comprising a number of smaller areas: Galzig, Gampen/Nasserein, Rendl, St Christoph and Stuben. The cosmopolitan atmosphere of St Anton makes it a fantastic place for skiers and non-skiers alike, with boutiques and cafes along with a multitude of lively bars, discos and nightclubs.
Lech
Lech has a variety of holiday experiences, whether you’re in search of a quiet break or want to party all night. It attracts visitors from around the world and combines high quality hotels with fine dining and great après ski.
St Christoph
Set 500m above St Anton, St Christoph is one of the highest ski resorts in the Alps. The resort became famous in the 14th century after a shepherd named Heinrich Findelkind built a hospice there as a shelter against the power of nature. Now though, the quaint village is home to a few welcoming hotels and inns. The après is relatively quiet, as people choose St Christoph for its fine dining and rustic lounges. But with traditional hospitality and doorstep skiing, it’s great for escaping the hustle and bustle.
Zürs
With a modern lift system and quiet, well looked after pistes, Zürs is one of the best loved winter sports resorts in Austria. Recent investment in high-speed chairlifts means you’ll find heated seats the norm and queues a rarity. Although off the mountain it is slightly quieter than some of its neighbouring resorts, Zürs remains a popular choice with international visitors and celebrities due to its top quality hotels, on and off the mountain dining and fun après scene.
