So what's it like?
In the heart of the mountains and close to the Swiss border, Livigno is great for intermediate skiers. It’s got lively après bars and is a brilliant place if you feel like trying your skills in the park.
It’s got a traditional Alpine village, nestled in a wide remote valley. Being high altitude the resort has a solid snow record and a modern lift system. Slopes are mainly suited to intermediate skiers and boarders, and is also home to five snow parks which some say are the best in Europe. They’ve got an impressive freestyle zone and loads of other features, including a kids’ fun park, a jump over a plane and a huge airbag.
When on holiday in Livigno it’s definitely a good idea to dedicate some time to go shopping. Livigno’s traffic free open air shopping mall has a very unique shopping experience. There are over 250 shops with well-known brands as well as exclusive boutiques and classic souvenirs. The best bit is that not only is Livigno a great place to shop, it’s a duty free resort.
With Livigno being home to many great value self-catering apartments it’s little surprise that it has the need for over 55 restaurants in the town and 10 restaurants on the mountain. Being close to the Swiss and Austrian border, there’s a fantastic choice of cuisines to choose from, although we have to say Italian is still our favourite.
€50 hotel credit

Ski Information Beginners
A great choice for beginners, Livigno has many drag lifts serving sunny meadows near to the village, these are the perfect place to learn and improve before heading up the mountain. The good news is that because the resort is at high altitude, the snow is usually top quality even at village height.
Ski Information Intermediates
Lots of the terrain above the village is perfect for intermediates, some adventurous beginners may even make it up to the wide sunny slopes here by the end of their first week. Head above the treeline to the Carosello 3000 ski area, accessed from the southern end of the village, for a selection of exciting wide reds.
Ski Information Advanced
Advanced skiers should head to the Monte Della Neve served by the Mottolino gondola, before descending from it's 2,785m summit down either of the resort's two black runs.
