So what's it like?
The highest resort in Europe with great snow and fantastic skiing for everybody.
Europe’s highest ski resort and snowsure throughout the season, Val Thorens is a gateway to the whole Three Valleys and 600km of piste. You’ll also have the hidden gems of Orelle and La Masse right on your doorstep, for superb skiing away from the crowds. New lift systems, well-groomed pistes and plenty of accommodation with ski-to-door access make Val Thorens an ideal playground for beginners right through to the advanced powder seekers. At night the resort comes alive to the sounds of bars and restaurants, creating one of the best après scenes in Europe.
Spend exhilarating days on the slopes and your nights at the Folie Douce, known as the ’dance floor on top of the world’, a brilliant place to party on the piste. You’ll find lots of variety in the restaurants, with all tastes and budgets catered for – there’s everything from fancy bistros to snack bars. And, of course loads of off-the-piste activities too.
Head to the aqua centre for the swimming pool and wellness facilities to soothe your sore muscles. Or, if you’re in the mood for more adrenaline, plan a snowmobile adventure or try out the evening tobogganing.
