So what's it like?
Great skiing on peaceful pistes
Val Cenis comprises of two charming, traditional villages, Lanslebourg and Lanslevillard, that both offer excellent value for money. With traditional markets lining the streets and local restaurants serving traditional cuisine Val Cenis has an authentic French alpine feel. Best suited to beginners and intermediates Val Cenis is also a superb resort for families, with varied terrain, easy access to the slopes and ski kindergartens in both villages.
Ski information
Beginners
These charming villages have excellent nursery slopes, especially in the village of Lanslevillard. There is also an option to go higher up the mountain and explore some of the tree lined green runs, such as the one starting at the Col du Mont-Cenis.
Intermediates
Val Cenis is idealy suited to intermediates and has a mixture of terrains. The lower half of the ski runs are mainly green and blue tree lined cruiser runs. Higher up the mountain the terrain becomes slightly more challenging with a good number of reds at the top.
Advanced
Due to most of the runs being north facing Val Cenis has an excellent snow reliability record. There are a couple of black runs around the ski area and also some of the reds runs which are good for a challenge; advanced skiers should try the 400m vertical drop of the Michel Jacot run. For the experienced skier who enjoys the off piste there is a variety available; from open powder fields at the top to tighter tree lined runs at the bottom.
Nightlife
• good value for money with a small range of bars and restaurants • La Clé des Champs nightclub (Lanslebourg) • Le Napoleon bar (Lanslebourg), Bar des Sports (Lanslevillard)

Leisure centre with indoor swimming pool, indoor and natural ice-skating rinks, snow-shoeing, dog-sledding & paragliding
