The Salzburg Christmas Markets are one of the best in Europe. There are various markets throughout the city located in and around the stunning architecture Salzburg that is renowned for - Mirabell Gardens, Residenz Square, on the Getreidegasse and the main attraction located in the Cathedral Square Market.
Salzburg is a stunning city and like many others - really shows its true beauty whilst covered in snow. There are plenty of sights and sounds to explore throughout the city to make sure your winter visit is complete.
Zell am See is a pictureque village located on the shore of Lake Zell. Staying 4 nights at either the Grand Hotel or the Hotel Lebzelter - giving you the opportunity for 3 full days skiing. The Zell am See/Kaprun has 138km of piste to suit every ability. The lake freezes over during the winter so you can ice skate or just walk across taking in the views. Zell am See has a great atmosphere with good shopping and a great range of bars and activities off the slopes .
You will spend your first four nights in the lakeside ski resort of Zell am See enjoying the skiing and everything the town has to offer. From here you will be transferred to Salzburg to spend 3 nights in this winter wonderland.Activities

Salzburg Christmas Markets is the second part of a twin centre holiday departing 14 December 2013 and staying 3 nights in Salzburg, following 4 nights in Zell am See. After your 4 nights by Lake Zell, you will be taken by coach to Salzburg to spend 3 nights in this beautiful setting. Your return journey will be by taxi from your hotel to Salzburg airport, this will need to be paid for and you will be refunded by our staff on arrival at the airport.

The traditional and enchanting atmosphere of the Christmas Markets in Salzburg is your perfect start to the festive season. There are various markets throughout the city with the main one located in the Catherdral Square in front of the imposing 17th century baroque Salzburger Dom. Enjoy the magical atmosphere, sights and smells emanating from the stalls selling all manner of gifts, handicrafts, mulled wine and gingerbread.
