So what's it like?
Alpendorf is a small Alpine village set just above the town of St. Johann in Pongau and offers direct access into the extensive Salzburger Sportwelt ski area. Alpendorf is linked to the ski area of Wagrain and from there a short bus ride takes you into the Flachau ski area opening up another 111km of piste. This is an extensive area with a good variety of terrain to suit all types of skier. At the bottom of the Alpendorf ski lifts there are bars offering traditional Austrian après ski to finish your day in perfect style.

Ski information
Beginners
Alpendorf is an excellent destination for beginners with uncrowded, confidence building runs. Progressing on to the larger area of Salzburger Sportwelt gives you plenty of variety of runs to gently build your ability and confidence.
Intermediates
From Alpendorf you can access the Salzburger Sportwelt straight from the doorstep and leads you into a great intermediate area. Alpendorf and Waigrain offer some great, long red runs and Flachau is a superb area for intermediates with 111km of skiing to choose from.
Advanced
Although best for intermediates, there are 2 black runs from the top of the Hirschkogel above Alpendorf and also don't forget to test yourself on the World Cup run in Flachau.

Alpendorf has a limited rep service so pre-booking of ski packs is recommended. On arrival you will receive a Crystal welcome pack and the contact number for the remote Crystal rep who can be contacted 24 hours a day should you need assistance. Your hotel will also be happy to help should you require any assistance during your stay.
Families
Alpendorf Ski School Alpendorf is a great place for your children to learn to ski. You can be sure your children will get top class tuition and have loads of fun in 'Kinder Ski School'. Ski school runs from 10.00am-12noon and 1.00pm-3.00pm, with lunch and supervision available locally (extra charge), providing great fun for kids - but also for parents too!
