Important notes 1. The insurance details page is a prcis of the insurance cover. Full terms and conditions in the policy document will be sent with your final documents or on request beforehand or by phoning AXA Insurance on 0845 345 2722. You should read the policy document carefully as this gives you details of what is and
is not covered together with conditions of cover. The medical emergency services are arranged with AXA Assistance.
2. Please note that insurance claims, their handling and settlement, are entirely between the insured person(s) and the Insurance Company/claims handlers.
3. The Ski Insurance policy is valid for permanent residents of the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland only, and is not valid for anyone working or living elsewhere, even on a temporary basis.
4. For those booking flight or accommodation only this insurance covers only those holiday elements arranged by Crystal Holidays.
5. Insurance can only be arranged at the time of booking,
with payment sent with your deposit, and can not be added subsequently.
6. Conditions, Exclusions and Warranties. Conditions and exlusions will apply to individual sections of your policy while general exclusions, conditions and warranties will apply to the whole of your policy.
Snow guarantee/piste closure 1. Anyone taking the Crystal Ski/AXA Insurance is automatically covered for piste closure insurance as detailed below at no additional cost.
2. Should you choose a different policy, you should ensure that any other insurance cover must be of at least equal standard to Crystal Ski Insurance.
Compare these Crystal insurance benefits against other travel policies
· Medical cover up to £10 million
· Personal liability cover - Up to £2 million
· Up to £105 per week for hire skis - if your own are lost or damaged
· Up to £400 for loss or damage to hired skis
3. If you do not take the Crystal/AXA policy, and your own policy does not contain its own piste closure provisions, you will not receive the benefits outlined below. Space on transport provided by Crystal to other ski areas cannot be guaranteed, and if available, will be payable locally at between £10 and £30 per person per day.
Piste closure cover details - up to £300 (nil excess) The Piste Closure covers you for any and all extra costs for transport that we arrange for you in the event that it may be necessary to transfer you by coach to another ski area if it becomes impossible to ski in your resort, due to lack of snow
or too much snow. If you have pre-booked your lift-pass, this sum will be refunded to you in full in resort. This cover applies to downhill alpine skiing and does not cover cross-country skiing, nor does it apply to piste closure due to adverse weather conditions other than lack of snow or too much snow (eg. high winds). In the unlikely event that no suitable alternative area is available, you will be entitled to compensation on return to UK of £20 for each complete day you have been unable to ski.
