With a friendly but professional ski school and free use of the lifts for first-time beginners, Mammoth aims to make skiing fun, at the same time as teaching technique and safety.

Intermediates

A simply magnificent mountain where you can choose from long, smooth cruising trails, huge open bowls or secluded tree runs, all of them blessed with plenty of Californian sunshine and a massive 30 feet average annual snowfall!

Advanced

(Crystal rating 4)

With a large amount of this huge ski area rated advanced, there is incredible off-piste and powder skiing, plus new and exciting challenges off virtually every lift to satisfy the keenest skier. Some of the best double black diamond bowl skiing in America is to be found dropping off the ridge that runs the length of Mammoth Mountain.

Snowboarding

Mammoth's huge fleet of piste bashers prepare the pistes overnight, sure to whip those wanting a cruise into a frenzy the next morning. Freestylers will love riding the Unbound Terrain Parks with more than 90 acres of parks, pipes, kickers and rails featuring something for every ability from beginner to expert.
