Beginners
The Californians' friendly hospitality is legendary and if you want to learn to ski in a fun atmosphere, then either Heavenly or Sierra at Tahoe are great places to start.
Intermediates
An unforgettable day out from Heavenly takes you by ski shuttle bus to the world class Olympic resort of Squaw Valley and then back at the end of the day on the Tahoe Queen Paddle Steam wheeler across the lake.
Advanced
There is plenty at Heavenly designed to keep advanced skiers happy and Kirkwood and Squaw Valley also have some spectacularly challenging skiing. Try the Gunbarrel on the Californian side of Heavenly for a chance to show off under the chairlift.
Snowboarding
Experienced boarders head for the powder on Milky Way Bowl or the open snow bowls of Squaw Valley.
