The resort of Beaver Creek is perfectly nestled in the Colorado Rocky Mountains just 10 miles past Vail. A purpose built resort it oozes luxury and service at every opportunity, from the pedestrian village with its romantic ice skating rink and ice sculptures, escalators to carry people to the ski lifts, fine mountain architecture and free cookies at the end of the ski day. The village features various boutiques, shops and award winning spas to keep the non skiers happy and a good variety of restaurants and bars for dining and apres ski. The mountain offers endless runs for all abilities and being home to the World Cup Mens Downhill course this resort truly does cater for those wanting a challenge but is also renowned for its wide open beginner and intermediate runs.

The slopes

Beginners

(Crystal rating 4)

Beaver Creek is a great place to learn. The resort goes to great lengths to avoid overcrowding and a large number of the green runs here are up towards the summit of the mountain. Newcomers to skiing will therefore be able to experience some fantastic views pretty early on.

Advanced

(Crystal rating 4)

There is plenty here to test the experts. Goshawk, Peregrine and Golden Eagle were specifically designed for the World Cup Ski Championships and, as such, should stretch even an accomplished skier.
