Resort Information

Verbier is justifiably famous as one of the most outstanding ski areas in Europe and lies high in a sunny, well-sheltered position in the heart of Switzerland's southern-most Alps. There's a vast array of tempting shops, as well as many restaurants and lively bars. The ski area is vast, high and varied with over 400kms of runs (including Thyon, Veysonnaz and Nendaz) and a glacier at 3,330m, providing even the most proficient skier with a seemingly unlimited number of challenges.

Family choice

There is plenty on offer in Verbier for children of all ages. The resort crèche (Chez les Schtroumfps or Smurfs club) for children from 6 months to 6 years offers both indoor and outdoor activities with English speaking supervisors, open 0830-1730 everyday except Sundays 0930-1730, approx. SFr50 per day including lunch. The Ski Kindergarten for 3-10 year olds is run by the Swiss Ski School and offers ski instruction (suitable for beginners only), open 7 days 0930-1115 and 1330-1700, approx. SFr50 per day.
