world famous stylish ski resort
St. Moritz offers 350kms of piste which are all well connected by train and bus (included in the lift pass). There are two areas, St. Moritz Dorf, the sophisticated town with its fashionable shops and the quieter St. Moritz Bad, located next to the spectacular frozen lake. As well as St. Moritz we feature hotels in the surrounding villages including Champfèr, Silvaplana and Sils Maria, which are all a short bus ride from St. Moritz and the ski slopes.
All transfers to St. Moritz and the surrounding villages are via Swiss Rail (unaccommpanied) from Zurich aiport. Transfer time is approx. 4 hours and will involve changing trains, and from St. Moritz station it is a short bus ride to the surrounding villages.
There are some excellent bars and restaurants in St. Moritz including the popular Roo bar at Hotel Hauser and Cascade. The smaller villages have quieter nightlife centred around local bars and hotels.
· Swimming · Tennis · Squash courts · Curling · Health Spa · Cresta ice shuttle
A vast choice of excellent restaurants including Badrutt's Palace, Kulm Hotel, Steffani's and the Cascade.
· Cinema · Casino · Sleigh rides · Museums · 150 km cleared paths & trails · Cricket, polo and horse racing on the frozen lake (Jan & Feb).
Zurich 4 hrs by train.
Swiss Rail transfers are unaccompanied.
Take the lift up to the Corviglia area which has nursery slopes and some wide open pistes. Celerina also has good nursery slopes in the village.
The Corviglia and Piz Nair area offers 95kms of long cruising runs and a variety of runs back to the resort. Try the Hahnensee run from the Corvatsch back to St. Moritz Bad which is 8km long descending 900m, or the 8km run back from Piz Nair to Celerina.
Lagalb and Diavolezza have the most punishing pistes particularly the Lagalb run which is non-stop moguls. There are tough off-piste runs from the Piz Nair and the Corvatsch.
The huge variety will keep the freeriders amongst you happy, try the area around Piz Nair to get you going and the slopes of Corvalgia to lay some turns. Freestylers will not have to look very far, St. Moritz has a pipe and there are plenty of kickers both natural and man made to keep you amused.
