Skiing

Beginners

First timers will appreciate Leysin with the convenient village nursery slopes. Progress onto higher, gentle pistes will then be rapid, especially with the help of the Swiss Ski School.

Intermediates

Leysin is ideal for intermediates as the majority of pistes are Red and Blue runs. There is a variety of uncrowded, open terrain to help improve your style. Ski over to Solepraz with the well connected lift system or take the bus to Les Mosses. Take full advantage of the full area pass and ski the slopes of Villars.

Advanced

Besides the black pistes, Leysin offers plenty of off-piste skiing possibilities, particularly around the foot of the Tour d'Ai. Otherwise, take a bus and train for a 45 minute ride to Les Diablerets for some glacier skiing at 3000m and the 12km red run (included on the full area Alpes Vandoise lift pass)

Snowboarding

Leysin is another famous snowboarding resort harbouring an ISF Pro Tour pipe and boardpark. Freeriders also have loads of fantastic terrain to explore around Berneuse and for the backcountry experience, hire a guide to check out the route of the top of Chaux de Mont. The beginners slopes have easy to use rope tows making learning more enjoyable.
