Switzerland's largest linked ski area
Flims & Laax are two very different resorts joined by Switzerland's largest linked ski area with over 220kms of piste. Flims is an excellent choice for families; set amongst pretty woodland the village has a wide choice of restaurants and activities to keep you entertained off the slopes as well as an excellent ski school for children. Nearby Laax is a trendy resort offering doorstep skiing, a good variety of runs and the largest pipe in Europe! Very boarder friendly Laax also hosts regular high profile competitions including the Burton European Open (9-16th Jan ’10) and the Brits (21-28th March ‘10). Both on and off the slopes you will find a host of trendy bars as well as some exceptional mountain restaurants; try La Vacca, a luxurius tepee on the slopes with a roaring fire, fabulous steaks and fine bottle of red or enjoy a beer overlooking the snowpark up at 2000m.
Flims and Laax offer a superb range of nightlife, and the Riders Palace in Laax cannot be missed as it often hosts internationally acclaimed DJs and bands. The Iglu Bar and Arena in Flims provide a non-stop après experience. At the end of the night, catch the shuttle bus back to your own village.
• Sleigh rides • Tobogganing • Snowshoe walks • Ice skating • Helicopter rides • Hot air balloon trips • 60kms of cleared paths • Paragliding
There are plenty of gourmet restaurants on offer throughout the villages serving all varieties of food. Try the Aktienbrauerei in Flims for local beer, sausage and pork, or the Plazza in Laax.

There are some fantastic nursery slopes in both Flims Dorf & Laax, with a kids village for children in both resorts. Once you've found your feet, the Naraus and Foppa areas have gentle runs back to Flims that will guarantee you progress swiftly.
You couldn't pick a better resort for intermediate skiing. Whether you want to try the 1700m descent from La Siala right back to the village, ski the Vorab glacier or move off-piste between mountains.
The men's World Cup Downhill course from Crap Sogn Gion back to the Murschetg cable car will keep you smiling all day. With a guide you'll be able to tackle the endless off-piste terrain from the summit of Cassons.
The outdoor Rock Bar at Crap Sogn Gion above Laax sets the atmosphere for boarders to meet up and watch what's happening on the two pipes it overlooks. For freeriders the Segnes and Grauberg trails in Flims offer some fantastic powder opportunities. The area really does have a whole host of riding that will challenge the expert or increase the confidence of a beginner.
