a haven of beauty and tranquility just waiting to be explored
The picturesque mountain village of Adelboden sits on the edge of a 185km ski area, shared with the neighbouring village of Lenk. Adelboden offers an extensive range of slopes stretching across the valley, divided into five attractive areas: Elsigen-Metsch, the Tschentenalp, Silleran - Hahnenmoos and Lenk - Betelberg. The alluring combination of sunshine and snow will ensure a relaxing atmosphere, reinforced by the lack of queues and good snow, to give visitors a traditional Swiss skiing experience.
Après ski in Adelboden is mainly low key, however there are some good bars, discos, concerts and also a local cinema. For something a bit more lively, there are the typically Swiss mountain hut restaurants and snow bars in the other local ski regions.
Adelboden offers a wide range of activities for all ages and abilities. There is ice climbing, guided ski tours, paragliding, overnight stays in igloos, swimming pool, saunas, carving runs, ice curling, ice sticking shooting, boardercross, freeride area, snow tubing/airboarding, nordic walking, ice skating, alpine wellness, horseriding and sleigh rides. These are just a few of the activities available in the resort. Adelboden is also frequently on the World Cup Tour and hosts the FIS championships in January.
This charming resort offers a wide variety of restaurants offering great selections and choice to suit anyone's taste buds.
Local history museum, Wood Carving "Trummer", Cinema, Wellness/fitness studio. Take advantage of the great Swiss Rail network and try out the rail service to other resorts.

Good nursery slopes can be found both in the village and nearby, whilst the Hahnenmoos area provides a wider expanse to hone those burgeoning skills.
Adelboden is ideal for intermediates, as a large proportion of the skiing area can be explored by intermediate skiers. The skiing is divided into five sectors, including Geils, which offers long, glorious runs across the terrrain.
There are black runs down from the Geils area and some off piste trails leading back down to Adelboden and Lenk as well as the FIS Ski World Cup Adelboden-Piste at Chuenisbärgli.
Boarders will find a number of challenges at the professionally designed Gran Masta Park built by Danu Kaufmann. It has three kicklines, a slide zone and a number of other attractions such as the obstacle course.
