Resort Information
Set amidst beautiful scenery on the banks of Ustedalen Fjord, Geilo lies at the heart of Norway's 'Winterland' region, with ski areas on both sides of the valley. With an excellent reputation as a family resort, Geilo has been welcoming international visitors since 1890. The village remains relatively unspoilt, with its traditional Norwegian character and charm very much intact. In the village you'll find numerous restaurants and bars, where the atmosphere is generally relaxed during the week and lively at the weekends. There are slopes and winter activities to suit all tastes.
