the exhilarating skiing of the Dolomites and an unmistakable Italian atmosphere

Intro

The beautiful broad sunny Val di Fassa is one of the treasures of the spectacular Dolomites area of north-east Italy. Arguably the most beautiful mountain range in Europe, and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009, the pink and orange hues of the craggy peaks change colour from daybreak to twilight. We feature the main villages of the valley, Canazei, Campitello and Pozza.

The slopes

Ski Information Beginners

(Crystal rating 3)

Novices at Canazei can start on the village slope before taking the Belvedere gondola to the wide, undulating runs at Pecol. Campitello has one beginners' run at village level and at the top of the Col Rodella cable car several blue runs.

Ski Information Intermediates

(Crystal rating 5)

From Canazei and Campitello there is direct access to the famous Sella Ronda. This 26kms route encircles the Sella Massif and can be used to ski the extensive areas of Arabba, Corvara, Colfosco and Val Gardena.

Ski Information Advanced

(Crystal rating 4)

The main challenge for experts will be to put as much mileage as possible under their skis. Try the run under the cable car at Alba or the Men's Downhill runs in Val Gardena and La Villa. The north facing slopes at nearby Arabba provide some of the most challenging skiing in the Dolomites.

Ski Information Snowboarding

(Crystal rating 4)

This is a huge area offering some superb, varied terrain. After cruising the famous Sella Ronda you can head for the snowboard park above Canazei in the Belvedere area.
