The delightful Hotel Astoria sits in a prime position, with fine views of Mont Blanc and over the valley towards Courmayeur. Run by the friendly Berthod family, this welcoming hotel features traditional wood panelling and log fires and the bedrooms are exceptionally comfortable and spacious. Situated in the hamlet of Palud, 3 kilometres from Courmayeur, this hotel enjoys a peaceful location while the free minibus service ensures that the centre of the resort and the slopes are still easily accessible. The minibus runs regularly to and from the lifts during the day and also offers an evening service, on request, between approximately 9.00pm and 1.00am (except Monday) into Courmayeur. There is also a regular public bus to the slopes which is free of charge. Guests who enjoy après ski, however, may well find all that they are looking for just below the hotel in Jimmy's disco-pub. This lively and popular venue is completely sound-proofed from the hotel and provides entertainment for both hotel guests and other holidaymakers.
