Cervinia ski resort

Snow Range

1524m-3883m

Intro

Cervinia is one of the highest resorts in the Italian Alps. It is dominated by the mighty Matterhorn and surrounded by some of Europe's grandest peaks. Cervinia's ever increasing popularity is due to its excellent snow conditions, long hours of sunshine, variety of runs and a compact resort centre offering plenty of après ski activity. With an area pass the ski area opens up to include Zermatt in Switzerland with some very challenging skiing. The centre of Cervinia is closed to coaches and access to central hotels on arrival and departure day is on foot, in some cases carrying luggage.

The slopes

Ski Information Beginners

(Crystal rating 4)

The Cretaz lifts serve a wide area of sunny nursery slopes leading down to the resort centre. Additional easy runs are plentiful at Plan Maison and under the tuition of the Breuil ski school beginners make fast progress and are soon moving up to the higher long, wide, undulating runs from Plateau Rosà.

Ski Information Intermediates

(Crystal rating 4)

Cervinia is an ideal choice for the intermediate skier - long sweeping runs with an occasional mogul field to add extra interest. Not to be missed is the Ventina, an 8kms run from Plateau Rosà. Choose a sunny day for a ski away day to Zermatt where a selection of runs and lifts link the two countries and their ski areas.

Ski Information Advanced

(Crystal rating 2)

With no less than 7 marked black runs there is plenty to satisfy the better skier in Cervinia. The long run back to Plan Torrette is not for the faint hearted nor is the Bardoney mogul run. On the Swiss side there is plenty of challenge including some very steep runs under the Furi cable car.

Ski Information Snowboarding

(Crystal rating 2)

Freeriders should make a bee line for the Cielo Alto area for a few powder turns. Freestylers and beginners will not go home disappointed either, plenty to keep you happy. There is a snowpark located at Plan Maison.
