an unknown ski area waiting to be discovered

Les Sybelles is a new and developing ski area in the Maurienne Valley linking a number of villages, these include St Sorlin d'Arves and La Toussuire. With over 310km of piste and continual improvements being made to the pistes and ski lifts, the Les Sybelles area is an excellent alternative to the more expensive mainstream resorts. St Sorlin ski resort has the largest ski area and is a small, charming village with a typically French atmosphere and history dating back to the 17th century. La Toussuire ski resort is set in a bowl with skiing on most sides and has excellent lift access to the rest of the Les Sybelles area. Both resorts have a good range of off the slope activities and some excellent quality self catering accommodation.
