Resort Information
Home to over 10,000 reindeer, the Salla region is an unspoilt wilderness of frozen rivers, lakes and fells close to the Russian border and the ski resort of Salla is the perfect place to experience this unbroken piece of northern nature. The ski hill and accommodation are close to one another and there is a good variety of slopes to ski on and plenty of cross-country trails. The views are amazing and there is a great choice of winter activities for all the family. You will also have a free reindeer feeding trip which takes about an hour and involves a snowmobile sledge ride (3km) with information and feeding of the reindeer.
Après Ski
Look out for the cosy Kotapubi (Hut Pub) on the Eastern side and enjoy a drink with the open fire or on the sun terrace.
Activities
Lapland's best activities are on offer here including snowshoeing, snowmobiling, husky dog sledging and the unique visit to the farm and feeding the reindeer.
Eating out
À la carte Reventuli serves Lappish delicacies or you can enjoy culinary delights at the Sallatunturin Tuvat restaurant and maybe a few drinks at the Papana Pub.

The spa at the Hotel Revontuli is open to non-residents (local charge).
Cross Country Skiing
Salla is a great choice for the cross-country ski enthusiast. There are 110kms of trails of which 76km are groomed and of these 35 are illuminated. The remainder are of the trails are ski-touring trails to provide a greater challenge and discover the wilderness.
