Located at the foot of the beautiful Pirin Mountains, Bansko is a traditional Bulgarian town that has recently developed into a superb ski centre. This rapidly expanding resort, manages to retain a mixture of old world charm and modernity, constantly developing numerous fantastic new hotels. A superb ski school will ensure you are well looked after if you book tuition or one of our fantastic ski pack offers. With 65 kilometres of marked ski runs and some great off-piste, all abilities of skiers are well catered for. The experience

Bansko Après Ski

Bansko offers some of the best Après Ski in Bulgaria.You will find a good selection of restaurants for dining out, serving local and international cuisine, and all at great value for money prices! There are numerous bars playing a mixture of live and recorded music late into the night.

Other amenities

Bansko is not only a ski resort but a thriving town too. There are plenty of shops to explore as well as historic sights and monuments such as the famous local church, St. Trinity.

Family choice

Bansko offers great childcare facilities: There is a kindergarten/'Junior Ski Club' for children 4-7 years, conveniently located next to the slopes, at the top of the Gondola lift. Children are supervised with activities, fun and games. This package includes daily tuition (2 hours per day), skis, boots, lift pass (to the snow club only) and daily activities including outside snow fun! These services can only be booked on arrival. Prices: approx. £15 (1 day) or £80 (6 days).

The slopes

Beginners

First-time skiers will find Bankso has plenty to offer. From the excellent tuition by some of Bulgaria's best English speaking instructors, to the numerous well-groomed runs, Bansko is the ideal place to learn to ski.

Intermediates

(Crystal rating 3)

There is an excellent choice of blue and red runs, all joined by a network of mostly chair and some drag lifts. For improver skiers, the Bansko ski school offer excellent tuition.

Advanced

(Crystal rating 2)

A regular host to off-piste competitions, Bansko is known for its extreme terrain and off-piste skiing. In addtion, some of the red runs and the 'Alberto Tomba' black run offer advanced skiers plenty of challenges in the main ski area.

Snowboarding

Bansko is great for snowboarders! The wide pistes and tree-lined runs offer multiple opportunities for on and off-piste fun. There is also a great board park, consisting of fun park, with rails jumps and a half pipe.
