Right in the heart of the Austrian Lake District, St. Wolfgang provides a beautiful setting for a 'First Time’ or 'Winter Paradise' holiday. The Postalm alpine plateau, reached by a spectacular ski bus ride (45 mins) through gorges and around hair-pin bends, has an excellent snow record. Alternatively, ski buses also enable you to explore the Dachstein West ski area from Gosau (1 hr 30 mins). St.Wolfgang has lots to offer other than skiing (see our 'Winter Paradise’ package) making it an ideal choice for groups of skiers and non-skiers alike.

Winter Wonderland
If you would like to enjoy the beautiful scenery of St. Wolfgang at a slower pace rather than on downhill skis, may we recommend our Winter Paradise package, which includes the following: • cross-country skiing taster • cross-country day tour • snow-shoe walking • Austrian curling including one glass of mulled wine • day trip to Salzburg.
All for just £91 per adult & £72 per child.Available with holidays departing from 19/12 to 12/03 (minimum child age 10 years incl; tuition and equipment included, where appropriate; activities take place throughout the week, programme available on arrival, subject to weather conditions).
Please note: Winter Wonderland activities take place during the day therefore you cannot do Winter Wonderland and ski/board school or First Time Skiing/Boarding.

The slopes
Beginners
St. Wolfgang is a beginner's paradise. The Postalm has an extensive range of easy slopes on which to gain confidence (lessons may also be taken on the Puchberg nursery slopes just outside St. Wolfgang - conditions permitting). Complete novices will enjoy learning with our special 'First Time’ packages.
Intermediates
The Postalm is ideal for improving your skiing technique in very picturesque surroundings. Dachstein West (Gosau) is also well worth a visit for a day or two. It is a large, more challenging area, primarily made up of red runs.
Advanced
Skiing for experts is limited on the Postalm. However, there are some great runs to tackle in Dachstein West (Gosau), with 141km of piste.
Snowboarding
The gentle terrain at Postalm provides a perfect introduction to snowboarding. Those looking for a greater challenge should head for Gosau, where there is a park and pipe to play in!
