The Kiendlerhof is a traditional Tirolean guesthouse and riding school, located on the road between the villages of Schwendau (400m) and Hippach (300m). Inside the guesthouse is furnished in a simple style and all bedrooms are en suite. Accommodation is on a half board basis, with all meals taken in the Kiendlerhof's dining room.

For this holiday you can pre-book your lift pass (a Mayrhofen Area lift pass) but you cannot pre-book equipment or tuition (First Time packages are also not available with this holiday). On your first day equipment can be hired from the Fankhauser hire shop (en route to the gondola) and tuition is available from the 1.Ski-und Snowboardschule Fankhauser ski school, based beside the gondola. Storage is available at the gondola station so you can store your equipment during the week rather than carrying it to and from the guesthouse.

A little more about Schwendau and Hippach: Within these small villages you'll find many of the facilities you may need including a bank, cash machine and supermarket. They also have a few cafés, restaurants and bars (many of which are in other hotels and guesthouses). There is also a railway station, from which you can take the train (local charge) to Mayrhofen or other ski areas (included on your lift pass) such as Zell am Ziller (160km of piste)  and Hochzillertal (155km of piste). The nearest ski bus stop is 100m from the guesthouse. Ski buses run during the day (see timetable below) and are free with your lift pass. Should you want to enjoy Mayrhofen's lively nightlife on an evening or two, a taxi to or from Maryhofen will cost about €12 for up to 8 people.

From the Horbergbahn, a ski bus runs regularly to and from the Penken lift in the middle of Mayrhofen between 08.30 and 17.00 daily.

The Guesthouse Kiendlerhof is a great option for those who want to enjoy the fantastic Mayrhofen ski area whilst paying less than if you booked the equivalent accommodation in Mayrhofen itself. You have easy access by ski bus to the Mayrhofen ski area and if you want to enjoy the facilities and nightlife of Mayrhofen they are just a short taxi ride away.
