The Hotel Aurach is located on the edge of the village of Aurach, just south of Kitzbühel. With the ski bus stopping close by you will perfectly situated to enjoy the fantastic Kitzbühel ski area from a choice of lifts including Jochberg chairlift (10 minutes' by bus), Pass Thurn chairlift and the gondola in Kitzbühel itself (15 mins' by bus) as well as the cable car up to the smaller Kitzbühelerhorn ski area (use of the ski bus and all these lifts are included with your area lift pass). The hotel is traditional and family-run. Bedrooms are generally light and airy with traditional furnishings and pretty fabrics. The hotel serves a menu which includes local specialities as well as dishes of a more international flavour. In the evenings you can relax in the stube (small, cosy lounge area) by the log fire or in the hotel's bar over a local beer.

A little more about Aurach: The hotel is located on the Kitzbühel side of the village. A 10 minute walk will take you up into the centre of this small village where you'll find all the basic amenities you may need including a bank/cash machine and a supermarket. There are also a few other hotels so if you fancy a walk in the evenings there are a few other bars to choose from.

During the day the ski bus runs regularly from Aurach to Kitzbühel between 06.21 and  18.46. The last ski bus back to Aurach is at 19.00. In the other direction, the ski bus runs regularly from Aurach to the ski lifts at Jochberg and (less regularly) Pass Thurn between 06.48 and 19.15. The last ski bus back from Pass Thurn is at 18.31. The use of the ski bus is free with your lift pass.  If you want to head into Kitzbühel for an evening (or stay in Kitzbühel at the end of the skiing day) to enjoy the nightife, a taxi between Aurach and Kitzbühel will cost approx. €15-20 for up to 8 people, one way.

The Hotel Aurach offers good value, comfortable accommodation and is a great choice if you want to enjoy the superb Kitzbühel ski area without paying the premium for being in the resort itself. You can choose to pre-book your lift pass (Kitzbühel Ski Area). Equipment hire and tuition can be arranged on arrival in resort (First Time Skiing and First Time Boarding packages are not available) and you can choose whether to go to ski school in Kitzbühel or (nearer) in Jochberg.

Please note: There is no Crystal rep in Aurach however you will receive a welcome pack on arrival and will meet Crystal reps at the airport. There are Crystal reps in Kitzbühel. They will arrange your pre-booked lift passes for you. There is also a Crystal office which you can visit in Kitzbühel should you require any assistance during your holiday.
