Kirchdorf has an excellent ski school and family-friendly skiing making it a great destination if it's your first time on skis. The uncrowded, gentle nursery slopes are perfect for learning on and with the help of the patient instructors you can soon progress to the larger ski areas of St. Johann and Waidring.
Ski Information Intermediates
The excellent central location of Kirchdorf makes it easy to explore the larger Schneewinkel area. A FREE ski bus links you to interesting and varied terrain in the resorts of St. Johann, Waidring/Steinplatte and Fieberbrunn - 170km in total!
Ski Information Advanced
Ski a new resort every day! Head for the Waidring/Steinplatte and Fieberbrunn areas for fantastic powder opportunites and a selection of steeper pistes in Fieberbrunn. Kirchdorf is also part of the vast Kitzbüheler Alpen Pass covering 676km! Upgrade your pass and hire a car and you can choose to explore the Ski Welt one day and Kitzbühel the next!
Ski Information Snowboarding
First time boarders can learn to board on uncrowded pistes with expert tuition from the local ski school. You can take the FREE ski bus to practice your skills in the Schneewinkel area. Fieberbrunn is a popular snowboard centre with varied natural terrain, forested trails, powder fields and a snowpark with half pipe.
