Resort Information
The extensive Gasteinertal ski area is one of the largest in Austria. The attractive town of Bad Gastein has a bustling centre and excellent amenities, not to mention the famous spa (see 'Ski & Spa'). If you're looking for a great nightlife you can begin with après ski' and continue into the early hours! The skiing and boarding is superb - you need almost never take the same piste twice in a week, and if you head off-piste with a guide the area almost doubles again!

Ski Amadé The Gastein ski area is part of the vast 'Ski Amadé' area - a total of 5 ski areas, 865km of piste and 270 lifts. With a 'Ski Amadé' lift pass (available locally) you can ski all of these areas - they include Schladming (167km piste), Flachau/Sportwelt (350km piste) and Hochkonig/Grossarl/Maria Alm (150km piste). To enjoy the challenge of skiing the 'Ski Amadé' area add car hire to your booking. Off-pisteThe local ski and snowboard school can organise a fantastic range of activities in addition to group and private ski and board tuition. Advanced skiers and boarders can have off-piste tuition, go on an off-piste safari or go touring. You can also have cross-country ski tuition, try snow shoe walking or even ice climbing. All these activities are available in resort (conditions permitting) - ask your Crystal rep for more information on arrival.

Ski & Spa
What better way to soothe those tired muscles than by relaxing in a warm thermal pool while looking up at the snowcovered mountains? Bad Gastein is famous for the thermal waters hidden within it's mountains - people have been attracted here to bathe in these 'healing' waters for hundreds of years. The current 'spa' centre was renovated in 2004 and now offers state-of-the-art leisure facilities.'Felsenbad'
The 'Felsenbad' has an indoor activity area with pools, flumes and a children's area. There is also a panoramic spa area with saunas, steam rooms, massage and facials. Outdoors there is a sport pool (24 degrees) and relaxation thermal pool (34 degrees), not to mention the 'Fairytale Pool' with interactive fairytale characters!
Both spa centres are open daily from 10.00am-10.00pm. A variety of entrance tickets are available, incl:
